Re: son's circumcisionYou are concerned about trauma? It's not necessary to put your son through this. Why do it at all?
Sponsored LinksRe: son's circumcisionBnobel, I am wrong or doesn't circumcision lower the rate of venereal disease, HIV, Etc?
Re: son's circumcisiongott1936 those studies are plagued by bad science, it's hard to track sexual activity, condom use, and quite a few other variables. Of course, the idea is a good one but dont use these 'scientific' results unless you can see all of the research, another way to prevent those diseases is to teach safe sex practices.
Re: son's circumcisionIn my opinion, let him make the decision later on in life. I was circumcised at 21 due to cosmetic reasons, I didnt need it done. I think it would be a lot for a 5 year old to go through. As an adult, he might handle it a little better. Theres nothing wrong with an intact penis & they're easy to keep clean but I just always liked the look of a circumcised one better & my girlfriends did too. Another reason I went through the procedure was to prolong orgasm. In some cases, like myself- it makes you last longer during sex which is a plus for both parties. As for diseases rates, teach to practice safe sex & it wouldnt matter if you're circumcised or not.
