cancelled surgery due to failed EKG

Post a new topicby happybutsick on Thu Dec 27, 2007 5:41 pm

I was only going in for pre testing but after the EKG came out, she said they had to call my family physician not my surgeon & they got me in to see him last night at 8:45. I took in my EKG it was printed but hadn't been read by anyone, the family physician said it looks like I would have had a heart attack already at 39. He said he was going to cancell my surgery today, I called the surgeon for a second opion of the report & he cancelled, it must be serious, but the cariolyte stress test can't be done for 2 weeks.

They blame it on me not taking care of my high blood pressure, which each time I went in they said the high blood pressure number was caused because I was sick, & the number increases. Do you agree?

I purchased a blood pressure monitor & my reading is high but better at home it's 145 over 90.

it was like 161 over 101 & over108

If my blood pressure is lower will this improve my EKG or not?

thanks
