Josh’s StoryIn the last part of April 2005 I was having testicular pain and finally decided to go to my doctor. After checking me he wanted me to have a sonogram type test to check my testicles. Re: Josh’s StoryHi Josh,
I have been searching the internet to help my partner deal with his symptoms from chemotherapy and came across your posting. He was diagnosed in 1999 with testicular cancer and underwent the surgery to remove his testicle. He did very well and continued the CT scans for awhile and then decided, like you, to discontinue the scans. His Dr. at the time said it was probably fine. In late 2009, he started experiencing mid back pain which was not relieved by massage, chiropractic or rest. His Chiropractor sent him for an xray of his spine and to make a long story short, a tumor was found between his spine and heart - seminoma, testicular cancer. He had no other symptoms. His prognosis is good, (not in any organs or bone), but he does have to go through the chemo. Our present Dr. said he would have told him to continue the scans. ("We know more these days", he said) I know everyone is unique, but I felt the need to share our story. Glad to hear you found and dealt with the cancer in a timely manner. All the best to you.
