Good afternoon

After my doctor said that only 1% of my esperma is normal, I made exames and a varicocele was found in my left testicle. My question is now if with a cirurgie I will be able to make children with my wife. I know that there is no 100 % success but will a cirurgie helps with only 1% of normal esperma?
I think if the operation dont garantee me nothing I would immediatly start with a Fertilization in vitro.
