Sporadic Sperm Count After Vasectomy

Post a new topicby braveheart on Thu Sep 24, 2009 5:16 pm

I had my vasectomy over a year ago and have done 7 lab tests for sperm count. You are supposed to have two consecutive 0 counts to be declared sterile. Here are my results:
July 08 - surgery date
Oct 08 - 8,000 sperm with zero motility
Dec 08 - 0
Feb 09 - 3,000 with zero motility
Mar 09 - 0
Apr 09 - 5,000 with zero motility
Jul 09 - <1,000 with zero motility
Oct 09 - 0
As you can see, these results are not typical. The positive results are EXTREMELY low compared to normal counts (20,000,000+) and the zero motility is encouraging. I'm afraid to try one more to get the second consecutive zero count. What comments do you guys have? Thanks!
